After Today's Guilty Plea By Former National-Security Adviser Michael Flynn, Who Is Next?

David Graham, The Atlantic: If Flynn Is Small Fry, Who’s the Bigger Fish in Mueller’s Net?

The former national-security adviser pleads guilty to making false statements, and is now cooperating with the special counsel’s investigation.

Whatever is on President Trump’s Christmas list, it didn’t include Friday’s news: Special Counsel Robert Mueller has charged former National-Security Adviser Michael Flynn with making false statements to the FBI about his conversations with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. Worse, Flynn pleaded guilty Friday morning at federal court in Washington.

It’s an ironic turn for a man who first reached widespread national attention leading chants of “Lock her up!” about Hillary Clinton at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

WNU Editor: Much of what has happened today was predicted by many at the beginning of this year .... that former National-Security Adviser Michael Flynn was in legal trouble, and that he was going to be indicted. So now that he has pleaded guilty .... the next question everyone is raising is .... who is next? My money is on Carter Page .... but he is not the same stature as Michael Flynn .... and many have been predicting his indictment for a long time. Jared Kushner? If he lied to the FBI he is in trouble .... but as I had mentioned in a previous post .... I do not think he is that stupid. So what are we now talking about? Who else is involved? What crimes have been committed? What statutes have been broken? Espionage? Treason? Another process crime? Even David Graham in the above Atlantic post does not know .... because after asking the big question .... If Flynn Is Small Fry, Who’s the Bigger Fish in Mueller’s Net? .... he does not answer his own question. My guess is that this is it, and absent anything else this investigation will probably end by spring-summer of next year. But if there is something else .... that will be another story.

That's a good time for liberal's. But, so far, Flynn is only guilty of what he did. The "dream" that's he will testimony against Trump is just coming from nothing. More than that: if, by chance there is "a link" between Russia and Trump we have to measure the level of it.... compare to the link between Russia and Clinton's who received a "little" $145 million with a deal for an American uranium property to Russia.
