Daily Mail: British troops in Afghanistan 'get just £1 a head' spent on them for Christmas celebrations with even MONGOLIAN troops getting more

* Defence chiefs have given £500 to British troops in Afghanistan for celebrations
* In contrast US troops receive trees, turkeys, gifts and a Star Wars screening
* One soldier claimed that they aren't even sent enough money for coffee

Close-fisted defence chiefs have allocated just £1 a head to British troops with 'suffering moral' for their Christmas celebrations.

The 500 troops positioned in Afghanistan have been given £500 for their festive celebrations this year - working out at just £1 a head.

But apparently this isn't even enough for coffee and they 'send in more money to feed the stray cats on the US compound' and even the Mongolians receive more.

In stark contrast according to the Sunday Times, US soldiers have been gifted eight Christmas trees, several turkeys, decorations and will also be treated to a special screening of the new Star Wars film.

Wtf
We've got our priorities all wrong! In Britain, a typical office job in London means you get £20-50 worth of chocolate gifts during Xmas and 100 times that in end year/payment bonus..easily. .I know many who get more (taking middle class jobs here that anyone can get/do)
In cimprison, or soldiers get nothing
How the f can we ask our bravest to do all this and then come back and shine the shoes -figuratively speaking-of the ones who conveniently stayed at home, safely, while enjoying all the luxury Britain has to offer? And on top, or soldiers have to deal with PTSD...the only traumatic thing a Londoner goes through is when there's a weekend without a food festival
