Newsweek: Ukraine Arrests Two 'Russian Spies' as Double Agents Inside Kiev's Ranks
Ukraine’s security services (SBU) arrested two different men suspected of spying for Russia, one working for the cabinet of ministers, another serving in Kiev’s own intelligence ranks, within 24 hours of each other.
"As we speak, the illegal activity of another citizen of Ukraine who acted against the national interest and for Russia’s intelligence services, is being documented,” Vitaly Mayakov, the deputy head of Ukraine’s main investigative department said Thursday.

See it's those kind of things that make me worry Putin not only overplays his cards but doesn't understand the consequences for Russia or is in denial...maybe all this talk about him being so smart last year went to his head? Here's what will happen: the western countries will get stronger in their resolve to combat Russian medling and aggression..now they have another proof point ..so the EU and the US will have even more military at their eastern front. Likely sanctions on top of that. What does Russia want for its future? Be eaten up by China? As I pointed out, the Russian land mass is not defensible. ..the World has changed. ..they have just 100mn people in Russia, the largest country on earth, and its population is expected due to aging population and less child births .. and nukes won't help you because it will be gradual replacement and influencing by China. Does Putin think Russian values are appreciated in China? Not even Russian orthodox values - core to many Russians - are welcome in China (nor is any form of organised religion or other ethnicity for that matter). Russia will get squeezed. To the east they'll have a determined superior force and industrial might that resents its meddling . To the south/west there's China. To its very east there's alaska/USA. Or just doesn't make sense what he's doing. Why risk a serious escalation by spying on Ukraine top levels and getting caught. ..wnu please explain :)
