Washington Examiner: Pew: Trump media three times more negative than for Obama, just 5 percent positive
The media’s coverage of President Trump has been overwhelmingly negative, more than three times more critical than the initial coverage of former President Barack Obama and twice that of former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
The Pew Research Center said that the early coverage of Trump was 62 percent negative. By comparison, Obama’s coverage was just 20 percent negative.
“About six-in-ten stories on Trump’s early days in office had a negative assessment, about three times more than in early coverage for Obama and roughly twice that of Bush and Clinton. Coverage of Trump’s early time in office moved further away from a focus on the policy agenda and more toward character and leadership,” said Pew.

As an example, I watched a 5 minute discussion yesterday on CTV News between the host and a U.S. reporter on this bogus story .... Negative news perhaps due to the negative impact the president has made. He is still some 40%in popularity, and that would suggest a negativity that remains without precedent for a first-year president in modern times.
Fred,there's truth in what you say. Absolutely. But there's also truth in that there has been a concerted effort by the Democrats to make Trump look bad/make him fail as president. It's just going to far. It feels this time around the Democrats a act like republicans. Lying. Cheating. Manipulating the voting process. Shall I go on? You know what I say has truth to it. I used to watch cnn almost exclusively, and I think of myself as liberal, but I cannot identify with these lies and fake outrages of a PC first media elite that always sees the blame with Trump no matter what he does
