Ex-general says he knows how powerful North Korea's military is
LONDON — A distinguished retired South Korean general warned a U.S. attack on North Korea would be met by well armed soldiers who would fight with religious fervor to defend their homeland.
"I try to explain to the Americans — if we have to go into North Korea, it is not going to be like going into Iraq or Afghanistan. It’s not going to be like toppling (ex-Iraqi President Saddam) Hussein. This would be more like trying to get rid of Allah," said I.-B. Chun, referring to the Arabic word for God.
He was speaking to a group of journalists and North Korea policy experts at a think tank in central London late Wednesday. "I said to my team: Can you imagine what that would look like? King Jong Un and his family is a cult in North Korea."

I do not believe him.
The general is trying to explain all of this to the Americans?!!? The Americans already know all of this. Furthermore many of us know that at least 33% of South Korean military officers view America as the primary enemy, 34% view North Korea as the primary enemy, and the remaining 33% are apparently undecided on such an important issue. What this means is we have an "ally" of which 67% of those we would be fighting alongside are untrustworthy of whom not only can we not depend upon to have our backs in a conflict but are very likely to stab us in the back during any part of the process. So please Mr. South Korean general DO NOT lecture us as we are quite tired of being your pawns in your fight against North Korea!!
Yeah yeah, Comrade, we get it...
Anonymous,
"Get what?" The results of the survey I mention are available online. Look it up. That is if you are not so lazy that you don't read. I strongly suspect you are to lazy to read or think for yourself.
You call me "comrade" which can only mean you have not read my posts in their entirety or evaluated the context. Had you done so you would know that I am virulently anti-communist. As the editor has pointed out repeatedly, more communists can be found in America, Canada, and the so called "west" than in Russia or former Soviet republics. In fact, I think this is the real Russia is reviled by many. They have firmly rejected Communism for themselves and for this they cannot be forgiven by some.
