President Trump Denies Making 'S_____ Countries' Comment

The Hill: Trump responds to s---hole reports: ‘This was not the language used’

President Trump on Friday addressed reports that he referred to some immigrants as coming from “shithole countries," tweeting to his followers that it wasn't the language he used.

"The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!" Trump tweeted.

Update: Trump denies making 'shithole countries' comment (CNN)

WNU Editor: The original media source for this story was from a Democrat aide who was briefed on this meeting .... hmmmm .... I smell a credibility problem here. As to the media's response to President Trump's denial, many of them are saying/implying the following ....."it appears that he is denying these remarks" .... Trump appears to deny 'shithole' slur, defends 'tough' immigration stance (NBC News). I do not know why the media is pushing the story that "it appears" that President Trump is denying these remarks. In his tweet he is very clear that he is denying it.

The media today is worse than some chatty high school girls. They spend half a day discussing some hearsay news that some second hand source is claiming.

Editor,

When you initially posted on this, as I recall, you stated you would have used the term "impoverished." This is a bit like saying "the patient has influenza." If the patient does have the flu this is a correct statement.

I probably would have used a term such as "dysfunctional," "corrupt," or "basket case" to describe these countries. Whether we use "impoverished" or any of the terms I suggest we are naming the disease. I would not have used the term "sh__hole" as DJT was alleged to have used which we now learn he did not. Nevertheless the term would be accurate. This term is describing the symptoms resulting from the disease which we named above. It's a bit like instead of saying the patient has "influenza" we could say the patient "has high fever, heavy congestion, sore achy muscles, and is extremely fatigued." Both are correct.

Frankly the language POTUS was alleged to have used has no place ANYWHERE in civilized discourse. We now learn he did not. Admittedly I fell for the report at first. For a person as blunt as POTUS is and who tends to speak off the cuff, at one time it would not have been surprising had he made such a statement.

The source: a Democrat aide who was briefed on the meeting, I should have been more diligent. Given the history of Democrats, their media backers, and main stream Republican to lie and obfuscate, anything they say or write should be treated with extreme skepticism. In contrast, POTUS does not have this kind of history. As such, his account of the happenings of this meeting is more trustworthy.

DJT does not appear to deny the statement. By stating that he appears to deny the statement it shows either the media personnel cannot read or they are lying obfuscating yet again. The worst part about making up such things is what this does for diplomacy. Such recklessness on the part of DJT's opponents have potential to undercut careful diplomatic efforts. These people have already destroyed careful and meticulous diplomatic efforts with regards to Russia. Apparently there are no levels of depravity some will not stoop to undermine a president they don't like.

The Fake Outrage progressive shriek-cycle is in full tilt. Prediction: this will crash and burn like all the rest. (faux angst overreach)

Most of the shithole countries I've been to rhyme with Mexico. But also visited Venezuela, which was actually much less the shithole then than it is now. And also Cabo San Lucas - which is also in Mexico - was actually quite the opposite of a shithole. Paris, France on the other hand is a total shithole.

Thia phony sanctimony over Trump's words is all about keeping a permanent underclass of Democrat voters. Without a huge dependent class the Dems are lost. So keep the deep Blue urban centers packed with poor immigrants and surge as many as possible into rural Red precincts. With no limit whatsoever. That's the Democrat strategy for power in perpetuity. Governing a population of surfs.
