FOX News: Trump says newspaper misquoted him on Kim Jung Un, points to audio tape
President Trump on Sunday accused The Wall Street Journal of “falsely” reporting him saying he has a “good relationship” with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and publishing so-called fake news because the newspaper wanted a big story.
“The Wall Street Journal stated falsely that I said to them ‘I have a good relationship with Kim Jong Un’ (of N. Korea). Obviously I didn’t say that. I said ‘I’d have a good relationship with Kim Jong Un,’ a big difference. Fortunately we now record conversations with reporters,” Trump said over two tweets. “And they knew exactly what I said and meant. They just wanted a story. FAKE NEWS!”

In a time where you can make more money with traffic and ads for a false story than what it'll cost you to correct it (including the rare law suits and settlements), of course people figure out you can make a killing by just making stuff up...Also saves on the cost of researching and writing a good, decent story that no one clicks on..people are so polarised they want to believe all that about trump.so they click. So they send it to friends. It brings more profit through ad money than writing 50 accurate stories
Until courts adapt to this new reality and increase punishment, we will keep seeing false and fake reporting.
