WNU Editor: If the U.S. was really worried on what was happening on the Korean peninsula, they would not be deploying just one of these aircraft.

If the US does not see the grave threat that the partnership of North Korea and China form, they must be blind or misled
They are putting the pieces in place piece by piece
"They are putting the pieces in place together piece by piece." I actually tend to agree. Move to quickly and the entire diplomatic process gets upended. Upend the diplomatic process to quickly and we end up in a hot war in short order.
We aren't ready to fight a hot war right now. This is part of the beauty of the diplomatic process. It might just work and if it doesn't it gives us time to build up our defenses and even bolster our homeland security. It's a win/win situation as long as we afford ourselves of the breathing space the diplomatic process allows us.
Clearly I think they are worried about what is going on the Korean peninsula. To put more planes there right now upends the diplomatic process and doesn't make us any more ready for war than we are right now and very likely places the pilots and the planes in grave danger. Better to put military assets in place bit by bit and not upend the diplomatic process. If it doesn't work, we will have had some time to build up our military capabilities and bolster our homeland defenses. So far good strategy being employed by US leadership at least in the Administration and the military but there is still much that can go wrong.
