CNN: Secretary of State Rex Tillerson: 'I intend to be here for the whole year'
Washington (CNN)Suggesting reports of his political death have been greatly exaggerated, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told CNN on Friday that he plans to remain in his position through 2018.
"We had a very successful -- in my view -- year 2017, pivoting our policies and helping our partners understand those policies," Tillerson told CNN's Elise Labott in a wide-ranging interview. "We're now into the implementation and execution against those policies."

As I recall, many predicted he'd be gone by the start of the year. I knew he wouldn't. Man I wish I'd have bet on that.
As I recall, many predicted DJT would resign by the first of the year. Even the so called "ghost writer" of his book predicted this thus proving his claim as bogus. Had he been the "ghost writer" he would have gotten to know his subject. Had he done so he would have known how resilient this man is which was proven when he bounced back from bankruptcy after losing most of what he held dear.
I'm going to make a prediction now. Unless he dies or becomes to ill to perform his duties, Mr. Tillerson will not leave office until President Trump leaves office in January 2025.
The only things that might prevent DJT's reelection would be if he dies or becomes to ill to perform his duties in which case Mike Pence takes over and is reelected. In which case, Mr. Tillerson may not remain at his post otherwise DJT wins reelection in a landslide and Mr. Tillerson stays on for the duration.
