WH @PressSec Sarah Sanders tells press she will keep them posted on whether @POTUS will physically hand them fake news trophies next week.— Jason Howerton (@jason_howerton) January 3, 2018
I'm living for this.
WNU editor: I doubt that this is going to happen, but a part of me certainly hope that it does happen.

Anonymous,
POTUS has been wronged by the media. In some cases, it may be best to handle the matter quietly behind closed doors so to speak to try and work with the party who has done wrong to get them to properly rectify the situation. In other cases, "calling them on the carpet" publically is the best approach.
Which approach someone or a group chooses to use is a question of tactics that will be unique to each situation. This is not a function of "ego."
In his particular case, I can see advantages by using this approach. Certainly calling out publically those who have slandered him, lied about him, and otherwise defamed him will certainly gin up his "base" which is growing. Also, it does provide a counter to the false messaging being presented. So far, these people have given no indication of being reasonable meaning the closed door approach seems unlikely to work. This will allow those who are not necessarily in his base to have access to multiple avenues of information which is certainly healthy for a Constitutional Republic such as ours.
As for "ego." "the Donald's" critics seem to be way to full of themselves. By this standard I would say they have very large "egos." Essentially the elites along with their media allies are engaging in a de facto coup against a duly elected president.
For a country who has based much of its policy on the support of "democracy" around the world, has sanctioned countries for far less than what they are currently doing to undermine a duly elected POTUS, and has toppled governments for the types of subterfuge they are currently engaging in, this reeks of hypocrisy. They should NOT think engaging in such activities will not have adverse consequences on our foreign policy not to mention what it will do domestically to disenfranchise a whole segment of the voting public. If other "western" governments support such nonsense, they can expect adverse consequences as well.
For one to be so full of themselves to expect that the basic laws of nature simply don't apply to them is the very definition of being way to full of oneself, ego if you will. While this term may apply to DJT, inflated egos appear to be more indicative of his opponents.
