The US president’s unpredictability has pushed the peninsula to the brink of nuclear war, but it’s that same caprice that could save us all from Armageddon.
The presidency of Donald Trump has made the dividing line between nuclear war and a Nobel Peace Prize increasingly thin. The very same extreme caprice and disregard for precedent that have amplified the military pressure and posturing on the Korean peninsula over the past year can quickly transform the logic of the endgame to one of spectacular peace and reconciliation.
To be clear, if the thinking in Washington today no longer excludes the idea of pre-emptive and, by likely implication, nuclear war with North Korea, then the prospect of near-term escalation in the domestic crisis surrounding the White House could soon yield to a “consolidation action” – in military form – by Trump that launches Asia and the world into a massive war.

WNU Editor: Not going to happen. Even if President Trump solves the North Korean crisis peacefully .... and a few other conflicts around the world .... tThe Nobel committee in Oslo is so far to the left and completely opposite to everything that President Trump believes in .... that they would prefer to commit seppuku than bestowing him the Nobel Peace Prize.

a quicker way: resign his office
Agree with your editor comment. Even though he won't get the prize, the problem will be solved and everyone will know who did it. That's good enough.
Getting China and Russia to agree to sanctuins on North Korea is an absolutely an amazing feat. Why should Trump "resign his office?" The economy is doing well. Much needed tax relief has been passed. Regulations are being streamlined. While the diplomatic process with regards to North Korea needs work and there is much that can still go wrong, it does seem to be moving in the right direction.
Admittedly his policies toward Russia have been an extreme disappointment. Unfortunately the entire US government has gone insane in regards to this. Team Trump has however shown flashes of sanity though. I am cautiously optimistic we will eventually get this right. I think the Russians are as well. As such, there seems to be no good reason for Trump to resign his office.
The UN blew it by it adoring the biggest empty ever to be called a president in my lifetime and the lifetimes of others before me who endured other suits in their time. 2009 Nobel peace prize winner!!! Another now tarnished-beyond-redemption and meaningless gesture by the current tooth fairies.

"Which is why they won't release his college transcripts." He is wholly incapable of anything beyond Jr high school intellect. He is a boy in a man's body. He was elevated based upon skin color alone. He is unworthy of any kind of managerial position based upon his merit. He was elevatwd based upon skin color alone.
Americans still feel guilty about what happened. He and his family are loved and revered by pretty much all Ameticans based upon their skin color alone. The only thing preventing final resolution of this problem is certain "race hustlers" who inflame this and want it continued. BHO and his family could have provided a bridge to end this. They didn't!! Instead they inflamed it!!
Not only this, they exacerbated Cold War 2. I do think their mothers will regret giving hirth to them. Of course rhey can't release the transcripts!! BHO was/is an "affirmative action" graduate who could not have gotten a degree ANYWHERE based upon merit. Release the transcript!! They can't as this would affirm the analysis!!
