* "Russian nuclear doctrine seems to actively consider the possibility of limited nuclear use," the deputy undersecretary of defense for policy said on Monday.

The Trump administration's new nuclear policy aims to counter an evolving Russian military strategy that appears to more readily envisage the limited use of nuclear weapons, a senior defense official said Monday.

"We have been extremely concerned with what we have seen as the evolution of Russian military policy as it relates to potential use of nuclear weapons," David Trachtenberg, the deputy undersecretary of defense for policy, said at the Heritage Foundation on Monday.

WNU Editor: I have never believed that in the event of a war between two nuclear powers, a limited nuclear war would be possible. Once one nuclear device goes off, it will only be a question of a few hours before all of them become used.

Yes, I agree. The first who use the nuclear weapon always under estimate the fallout on the other side. This make the other side want to make "the same" which has the same ignorance. The answer will be more and so on.
The nuclear use is always good when there is only one country which have the weapon.
