Reports: ISIS Leader Wounded In Air Strike In May. Had To Relinquish Control. Is Believed To Be In Syria

CNN: ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi injured in airstrike last May, sources say

(CNN)ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was wounded in an airstrike in May last year and had to relinquish control of the terror group for up to five months because of his injuries, according to several US officials who spoke exclusively to CNN.

US intelligence agencies have assessed with a high degree of confidence that the world's most wanted man was near Raqqa, Syria in May when the missile struck, the US officials said.

Their assessment is based on reports from ISIS detainees and refugees in Northern Syria that emerged months after the airstrike, the officials added.

Baghdadi's injuries were not considered life-threatening but they did mean he couldn't continue to command the daily operations of the group.

So many people want him dead. And he needs to keep paying off people to not squeal on him. And we all know that ISIS funds are no longer what they used to be. Far from it. Only a matter of time until he realises that there's no Allah saving him. No paradise afterlife BS... and people will not stay loyal to a false prophet. He's a liar a thief and a murderer - worse than Bin Laden even. And you know what they did to him. Shot in the eye socket at best. Wouldn't be surprised if bin laden wasn't buried at sea but dumped in a pig farm for food and then sold as hamburger. Al Baghdadi will face an even worse fate. Whatever they make out of him, sausage or burger, I'll want one :)

Same thing went on with bin Laden for a decade. In the end he was hiding like an animal with porn videos and horny goat weed around him in that filthy Pakistan bunker.. not a good way to go. .. embarrassing even. Or remember gaddafi? He was violated up his butt with a rifle before being killed. Or remember how they found what was his name. . That iraqi guy they found hiding half naked and totally confused in that road pitch/sewage thingy...then the Iraqis hung him and his head came off..not even ten years ago and no one gives a f... that's the beauty of it. .all those strongmen and terrorists think they'll be remembered. No one gives a f. They'll just end up dead and if there's an afterlife they'll go straight to hell too :))
