A Sniper Story That Is Too Good To Be True?

A British sniper has killed a senior ISIS fighter with a 'one in a million' shot from a mile away using a US-made McMillan TAC-50 sniper rifle (as seen in this file picture), it has been claimed

Paul Szoldra, Task & Purpose: The Anatomy Of A Bullsh*t SAS Sniper Story

“The shot was one in a million.”

That’s a quote from a new “exclusive” from Patrick Williams in the UK’s Daily Star, published Monday with the headline SAS sniper’s ‘one in a million’ shot slays ISIS chief.

But it’s only one among many seemingly “one in a million” stories written by Williams at The Star, offering apparent insight into the secretive British Army special forces unit known as the Special Air Service.

WNU Editor: The publications that are carrying this sniper story are below ....

SAS sniper’s ‘one in a million’ shot slays ISIS chief (Daily Star)
British Sniper Kills Senior ISIS Member On Difficult Headshot During Nighttime Mission (IBTimes)
British Sniper Kills ISIS Chief With Extremely Long-Range Nighttime Shot (Epoch Times)
SAS sniper kills senior ISIS fighter with 'one in a million' night-time headshot from a mile away close to the Syrian border (Daily Mail)

All that I can say is go to Google Maps, and look from where you live on how far a one mile shot is. You will notice very quickly that one mile is very far away.

Fazman,
Yes .... it has happened.
But still .... even a one kilometer shot is amazing. I live in front of the Saint Lawrence River and the distance from my home to across the river is 700 meters. 2,000 meters .... all that I can say is wow.
