WNU Editor: Drones have been embraced by the Air Force far more than the Navy. So as a pilot who wants to fly .... maybe in the future the Navy is where you should be.

Pilots need not worry too much. Drone UAV's will prove to be too vulnerable to electronic counter measures en route to targets and to ECM/kinetic action against their bases of operation for them to be entirely relied on. They will only be useful for peacetime reconnaissance and against non-peer actors.

Even the less developed militaries will have access to ECM systems and they will be cheaper to field then the drone fleets will be to develop, field and defend. Even more so for Unmanned Vehicles. In fact the US Army is already training in the non-electronic combat environment for the reasons stated above.
