Opium Production In Afghanistan Reaches Record High


WNU editor: When the war in Afghanistan ends one day .... and it will end one day. The number one social/medical crisis that Afghanistan will need to face is the problem of opium production and addiction.

The U.S.'s heroin supply is Mexican grown. 90% of American heroin is from Mexico,

So this Afghan stuff is going to people in Central Asia, South Asia, China, Russia, Iran, Pakistan and Europe.

Europe did not pony up, so now the get the drugs and the crime.

Walls work.

Walls are like meteor strikes. They are unknown to those that do not know where to look. We are finding meteor hits all over the earth now that we know where to look. We are also finding wall all over the earth now that we can look. a Decade ago a person could name 2 or 3 and a person in the know could name 5 or 10. There are way more than that and they work.

There would be no Poland or Poles without walls. Wall created Poland. A person just has to know where to look and be able to read history.

A person who says walls do not work because people will just throw a ladder over it is a person who is explicitly or implicitly telling you that they will ensure that the wall is not sufficiently manned. That is there will be no money for personnel ; they will pull the rug right out from under you. But did we expect anything less?

Afghanistan was the largest producing country until the Taliban
Same during the Vietnam war and the golden triangle which was the larges producer until US invasion of Afghanistan
Hopefully with US out the production will decrease

I am so happy that you are ignorant. The Golden Triangle usually refers to Northern Lao, Northern Burma and North Thailand.

The official designation is the land between The Ruak River and the Mekong River, which BTW is not in Vietnam.

The Taliban only cut drug output one year. It will remain unanswered whether they could have done son long term.

Anon,

Look at figure 5 of reference B. Then look at the headline of reference A.

Those two items tell me a lot of things. One of these is that you are a FOS troll.

The Pakistani generals would not tolerate their source of income being shutdown for long. So the Taliban would have cultivated it on the down low. Pakistan did not create the Talib movement, but they soon put their collar on it and attached a leash. The leash is still there.

Another thing is you go on about the CIA. CIA here, CIA there, CIA everywhere. You would think the KGB was 4 men playing bridge in a crummy rundown apartment in Moscow.

At least some people have legit reason for posting stupid stuff. They are elderly. You ... not so much.
