Bloomberg: Trump Plans Expulsion of Russian Envoys Over U.K. Attack
* National Security Council has prepared recommendations
* White House has been divided over how to respond to Putin
President Donald Trump is preparing to expel dozens of Russian diplomats from the U.S. in response to the nerve-agent poisoning of a former Russian spy in the U.K., two people familiar with the matter said Saturday.
Trump agreed with the recommendation of advisers and the expulsions are likely to be announced on Monday, the people said, though they cautioned that Trump’s decision may not be final. Trump is prepared to act but wants to be sure European allies will take similar steps against Russia before doing so, aides said.
U.S. officials are working through the weekend to develop a coordinated response with the Europeans, one of the people said, after British Prime Minister Theresa May this week rallied support for a tough rebuke.

Fewer known Russians to track.
Should make it easier for the FBI to keep up not that they follow up on tips as we have seen in Florida.
The rank & file are good, but the people at the top who are holdovers from the Obama Regime are not good.
Names of holdovers st top plz
English Teacher,
You start by typing in "Obama Holdovers" and lo and behold Google finishes the search terms with "Obama holdovers in justice department".
I guess other people have looked up the same information. You should try it. You know try looking up information on the internet instead of just dirty pictures.
You will find article from The Hill, com and others magazines.
If you really get fancy, you can type up "Obama Holdovers EPA" or some other agency.
Misfit: If there are holdovers, the GOP is responsible. It is those that run the show, are in charge, that make or break an organization...your answer to all things bad: blame Obama...well Trump has been president now for one full year.
I do not post dirty pictures...If you have a problem with sexuality, beauty in women, then hang out around the men's room
Any Obama appointee or Clinton appointee hired many people, who is very ideological is not on the radar screen, when there is a turnover due to elections.
These hires by appointees are below the radar screen.
It takes a long time to dig those resisters out.
Plus Republicans are often under the notion that they should play nice than the Democrats and so always try to keep some Democrats form the last administration.
Plus you assume that Republicans are actually playing for the Republican side. Many are not. Mitch McConnell plays for the uni-party.
I do lay the blame at Mitch McConnell. That venal fast slob is making it so that it will take Trump 10 years to get all his appointees before the Senate.
So much for the ridiculous notion that Trump is pro-Putin. Oh well for the typical Trump critics evidence is not needed and when the evidence contradicts one's cherished beliefs simply ignore it in favor of one's own narrative.
This is to bad actually as there is legitimately much to criticize. Personally I think these actions on the part of US and "western" is rash, impulsive, and not well thought out. What I think we have here is a case of ideology, arrogance, Groupthink, and plain old stupidity meeting in the same place at the same time. "Stable and focused" people and nations don't behave in such a manner.
If we were to compare and contrast Cold War 1 with Cold War 2, Cold War 1 was a battle between Godless and morally depraved Communism and a moral, free, and Christian America and the "west" with morally best of the best in America leading the way. It was clear what we were fighting for and who the good guys were.
In Cold War 2, Communism is now all but dead, Russia embraces Christianity, and America has sunk to levels of moral depravity that would have seemed unimaginable just a few years ago. It isn't clear what we are fighting for in Cold War 2 nor is it clear who the good guys are in this fight.
As to why the elites want this, there seems to be a major theme. As the editor once pointed out, there are more Communists in the West than there were in the old Soviet Union. I have known a number of people from the old Soviet Union who told me pretty much the same thing. They and the editor saw first hand the devastation that Communism brings. I was told these stories repeatedly. Perhaps you could say I "saw" it second and third hand. As such, I concur with the editor in not being interested in buying or wearing that "t shirt."
Many elites in America and the "west" hold a different view. To them the wrong side won round 1 and not only this but they've rejected Communism. For this Russia cannot be forgiven hence we have an unreasonable animosity toward Russia among tbese elites.
