* Putin warns ‘no guarantee’ U.S. won’t use nuclear arms again

Russian President Vladimir Putin praised Donald Trump as a willing partner as he lashed out at the U.S. for what he described as its “unpredictable” behavior, warning there’s no guarantee Moscow’s Cold War rival wouldn’t resort to nuclear weapons.

“I’m not disappointed with my opposite number, I’m increasingly disappointed with the system itself” in the U.S., Putin said in a documentary produced by state television released online on Wednesday. “It’s showing its ineffectiveness, it’s devouring itself. Dealing with a system like this is very difficult because it’s unpredictable.”

Increasingly it is clear Putin colluded with Hillary and Obama to exacerbate our partisan politics.

good to remain anonymous after that silly statement, fully unverified and without any evidence.
We may be eating ourselves, editor, but it seems many peoples still try to get here and become citizens...I do not see a similar rush to move to China or Russia

There's been no real evidence of Trump colluding with Russia either. Some may misread the contacts between the campaign and members of the Russian government. This represented part of a very careful and meticulous diplomatic effort that took a long time and great effort and sacrifice on the part of many good people to put together. This diplomatic effort had a great opportunity to end Cold war 2 and there was no downside risk in allowing it to work itself out and there was huge upside potential. Unfortunately certain petty losers who simply to this day cannot come to terms with the fact that they lost to a better candidate, a better organized campaign, and a message that resonated better with the American people.

These people have destroyed this diplomatic process to the point that it will take a long, long time to put back together if it ever can be. In the mean time we are stuck with a new cold war that we didn't need, really can't afford, and lack the resources to effectively prosecute as well as we should be able to. I suspect the mothers of such people may one day regret having given birth to them.

As to the immigration analysis, very respectfully it doesn't hold water. One needs to distinguish between the types of immigrants coming. I will call them type A and type B. Type A: these are people who add value to the country who have skills that we need and who are able to support themselves and their families. A nation wants these types of people to come. Type B: If you open up your house, don't lock your door, and say "come one, come all, poop on my floor, pea in my living room, eat my food, spill it on the floor, don't clean up after yourself, wreck my furniture, destroy my lawn, use my bank account as your personal slush fund (welfare programs), you get sick I will pay for it no need to worry about it, kill a few of my relatives when the need the suits you, in general disrespect me, and you never have to worry about breaking laws as they just don't apply to you!!

Type B appears to be the overwhelming majority of who is coming to America right now. Normal countries and normal people don't allow such people into their houses or nations without some type of resistance. Russia and China, for all of their flaws and they have many, at least behave like normal countries. As such, type B does not find them attractive destinations. If America were to begin behaving like a normal country, you would see much lower immigration rates as the overwhelming majority of those currently immigrating would find us unattractive. As such, very respectfully your argument here holds no weight.

Two types and you decide?
Thank god my grandparents got here before your so called types

Fred,

I'm sure your grandparents were "type A." I've seen your posts on this site. You have lived a long full life!! Thank you for your service and I salute you!! It is always a pleasure to converse with you on this site and to read your posts. I learn much from reading them!!

When your grandparents got here and when my great, great grandparents or whatever they were got here, this was a much different country. For instance, we did not have many of the "freebies" in place. Very respectfully, I think "type B" would have found that America a very unattractive place. Essentially we got the type of people who make a country a good place to live in. Type B did not apply.

A current solution to the type B problem, eliminate the welfare state and many of them self deport. With a social support system strained to the breaking point, massive national debt, a military that has been ground to powder and in many cases needs to literally be rebuilt from the ground up, infrastructure badly in need of repair, a broken immigration system that couldn't even find the 911 hijackers on expired visas that hasn't been fixed, and I could go on. Extreme caution needs to be taken in our current situation on just who we accept as immigrants to our country.

The types exist. They are not my "so called types." How I label them may be unique to me but I cannot take credit for realizing this. Others have as well. Just as we vet who enters our house a normal country vets who enters it.

Jay,

I'm confused. Putin is going to go after his country's enemies. This is news somehow? Isn't this what normal countries do? Unfortunately leaders in the US and the "west" have gone out of their way to stoke tension with Russia even to make them an enemy and for no good reason trashing a careful and meticulous diplomatic effort in the process.

"Putin's still trolling the hell out of the US." I'm sorry we aren't important enough to him to waste much time on such a thing. As for the sanctions, they suit him right now. The "west" and the US have a number of challenges right now. At least for the US, galavanting around the world attempting to challenge the world's major powers is probably not prudent. The same generally applies to the UK.

Fred,

"Climate refugees" Human caused climate change=the greatest myth ever foisted upon humanity. This has much in common with the earth as center of the universe theory.
