* He said Turkey, Iran and Islamist groups formed a 'triangle of evil'

Pretty sure Saudi Arabia is part of that group, but fairplay to him for having the balls to call Turkey for what it has become under Erdogen.

He is correct on this, Turkey for some reason wants to go back to the olden days, when they were the Ottoman "Empire". Erdogan is picking fights with everyone. Know idea why he is in Afrin right now, far as I can tell its an invasion of Syria, against people who did nothing to him. He re-started the war with the PKK after his party lost an election and I believe the attempted coup, was either endorsed by him or he found out about it and let it go for a little while. To give him an excuse to purge the military. Saudi Arabia is correct on this point. IMHO.

I've had a creeping suspicion for a long time now that Turkey went into Syria to rescue top ISIS friends. Even more when they made this (or trying to) "Idlib corridor" for "civilians."
