ABC News Online: Taliban pours cold water on Afghanistan President's peace talk invitation
The Taliban has issued a cool response to proposals that they should begin peace talks with the Afghan Government, a day after President Ashraf Ghani offered a pact to recognise the insurgents as a legitimate party in negotiations.
The movement has not yet given any formal answer to Mr Ghani's invitation, made at a conference of officials from countries in the so-called Kabul Process aimed at creating a platform for talks to end more than 16 years of war.

What do you think Nato has been doing their for last 2 Decades??? Making Afghan friends
what do you mean by total war? nukes? half of our army? etc
The United States invasion of Afghanistan occurred after the September 11 attacks in late 2001,[2] supported by close allies. The conflict is also known as the U.S. war in Afghanistan.[3] Its public aims were to dismantle al-Qaeda, and to deny it a safe base of operations in Afghanistan by removing the Taliban from power
[it is close enough to call it 20 years unless you are nit picking to make dumb arguement]

You made the meds comment, the loser comment and so many other memorable comments. So now you want decorum? Wow, you're full of yourself.
Total war would mean up to and including the destruction Pakistan. You can do that without nukes or any kinetic ordinance. Time for you to get a clue kiddo. We are in a war between civilizations that is no hold barred. Certain lines have not been crossed by the other parties because they are kinetically speaking the weaker parties.
We are talking about 16 years 4 months & about 3 weeks. Where do you draw the line tard before you loosely round up?
15 years and 1 day?
16 years and 1 day?
I can see you in high school. "But teach 3.3 is almost 4! I just rounded up! Honest!"
