President Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday that Turkey had begun operations in Iraq’s Sinjar region, an area where it has threatened a military incursion, two days after sources said Kurdish PKK militants would withdraw from the area.
“We said we would go into Sinjar. Now operations have begun there. The fight is internal and external,” Erdogan told a crowd in the Black Sea province of Trabzon, without elaborating on what operations he was referring to.
Iraq’s Joint Operations Command denied that any foreign forces had crossed the border into Iraq.
“The operations command confirmed that the situation in Nineveh, Sinjar and the border areas was under the control of Iraqi security forces and there is no reason for troops to cross the Iraqi border into those areas,” it said in a statement.
Sources in Sinjar said there was no unusual military activity in the area on Sunday.

WNU Editor: No reaction from Baghdad which leads me to believe that they have greenlighted this Turkish military operation against the Kurds. I cant believe how many times we have screwed these people, they might be our most loyal ally in the region, its infuriating as an American that recognizes the sacrifices they have endured on our behalf.. Sickening!
The president could back the Kurds for 3 months or so.
But after that the venality of Congress and the cowardice of the people takes over.
Not all people just enough people to make it a politically untenable position.
Erdogan, the new Hitler, Mussolini, Tojo, Ion Antonescu, Ferenc Szálasi (take your pick) has reasoned that the American advisers are not everywhere and so will pick at any place he thinks America advisers are not. Air power is called where American advisers are. Where they are not air power not called so much.

One of their first reactions is to bleat "Vietnam".
Followed by defunding, threats of defunding, telling the enemy to hold on (because the Dims are coming top the rescue), fawning, obsequious, sloppy wet kiss visits be Dimocrats, mass demonstations, riots and formation of Leftists guerilla groups.
If war is politics by other means. One might ask is the converse is true. Well someone with a STEM background would, but not perhaps someone from the humanities, who got their degree based on privilege. What is the converse?
