* Iran's navy made a point of harassing and humiliating the US Navy in 2016 after then-President Barack Obama had sealed the Iran deal, but under President Donald Trump, they have stopped.
* The US Navy openly acknowledges the shift in tactics from Iran, which an expert told Business Insider was based on Trump's unpredictability and credibility with regard to military strikes.
* But Iran has kept up its anti-US regional activity and encountered little resistance after toning down the more visible naval encounters.
Iran's navy made a point of harassing and humiliating the US Navy in 2016 after then-President Barack Obama had sealed the Iran deal, but since August 2017, the US Navy says things have changed.
"It seems like they've absolutely made a conscious decision to give us more space," Navy Cmdr. William Urban recently said. "That is definitely a change in their behavior."

WNU Editor: I think they know that President Trump is just inching to cancel the Iran nuclear deal, and would love an excuse to do so. The nuclear deal is important for Iran .... it is something that they do not want to risk right now.

The so called "nuke deal" isn't going anywhere. Now with Russian and Chinese assistance it may actually be enforceable as far as limiting the Iranian nuclear weapons program.
While we cannot "know" for certain, I think it is due to back channel communications between members of the Administration perhaps even POTUS himself and members of the Kremlin perhaps even Vladimir Putin himself. Essentially the Russians have communicated to the Iranians that such behavior is not acceptable.
You see it pays to have good working relations with powerful people and nations. This is how "stable and focused" nations and people do things. I think it was regular poster here Hans who first used the terms. I rather like it and hope you don't mind if I use it. It is important to give credit where it is due.:-)
Those who are not stable and focused make wild and reckless accusations providing no proof beyond the occasional anonymous sources and sometimes don't even bother doing even that hoping that somehow at least some of their wild and reckless accusations are going to stick.
That and they know Trump would retaliate with the military.

When you said you were in the humanities I was thinking maybe your were in psychology or possibly sociology. I was trying to figure out why you are the way you are. Sociology has been called a Leftist science or something similar by Horowitz. Psychology is replete with theories, whose experiments cannot be replicated. That is the field is garbage.
