President Trump Meets With Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein

The Hill: Trump meets with Rosenstein at the White House

President Trump met with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Thursday amid speculation his job could be in jeopardy.

The White House said the meeting was arranged to discuss “routine [Justice] Department business.”

Trump has railed against Rosenstein since Monday, when the FBI raided the home, office and hotel room of the president’s personal attorney in part due to a referral from special counsel Robert Mueller’s team.

Rosenstein will soon be gone. So will the impotent Sessions. Mueller, despite the face that his investigation is a sham designed to intimidate Trump, may survive. Trump should appoint someone whom will support him in replacing Rosenstein and Sessions.

Rosenstein is as much a Republican or conservative as Rep. Cantor was.
