comrade. Let's drink vodka later and talk about what we hate in the west and then make plans to bring mother Russia back to its former glory! We can also swap pictures of Putin on horses and talk about what nerve agent we like best for the job.

So the British police claim to have identified their suspect but magically they can't catch him. How convenient?!!?

As I have stated before, I do NOT think this was a deliberate intent to mislead on the part of British, American, or "western" officials. I think this is a case of people wanting to believe something, constructing their own narrative to fit what they wanted to believe, and then rushing to judgment before a complete investigation could have possibly been conducted.

It seems to me the most likely suspects would be the rebels themselves in order to invoke the sympathies of gullible "westerners" or it never occurred and was entirely staged by these rebels for pretty much the same reason. There are some commentators I trust who say this really doesn't matter. I disagree it matters a great deal. While this is getting off topic, the principles are the same. When ideology as opposed to common sense dictates polices, bad decisions are made.

In the case of the poisonings, the most likely candidates would be in this order, 1.)an agent from a former Soviet Republic or eastern bloc country looking to manipulate gullible westerners, 2.)rogue elements in the Russian government, or 3.)a western "false flag."

I DO NOT believe that the answer is three. Perhaps it is ideology that makes me refuse to accept something like that. Prudent law enforcement would have started with the most likely suspects during the investigation, methodically examined them, and eliminated them before moving on to more exotic theories.

If it is a rogue Russian element, we have a bigger problem than I thought!! I have long known that any replacement for Putin would be even more hostile to America than he is. As such, extreme care should have been taken to not destabilize his government. Instead the crazies did the opposite!!

Assuming the suspect has been correctly identified had a joint investigation with Russia involved been conducted on this it might actually be possible for the British authorities to get the people behind this. As it is, I think they are trying to step away gracefully in a face saving manner and having a suspect who is unreachable helps in this regard.
