Politico: Judge rejects Mueller's request for delay in Russian troll farm case

A federal judge has rejected special counsel Robert Mueller’s request to delay the first court hearing in a criminal case charging three Russian companies and 13 Russian citizens with using social media and other means to foment strife among Americans in advance of the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
In a brief order Saturday evening, U.S. District Court Judge Dabney Friedrich offered no explanation for her decision to deny a request prosecutors made Friday to put off the scheduled Wednesday arraignment for Concord Management and Consulting, one of the three firms charged in the case.

WNU Editor: If the Mueller counsel were comfortable with their evidence on their Russian troll farm case .... they would not have waited until late Friday to ask the judge for a delay, and the judge in turn would have certainly accepted their request for a delay. But the judge did not rule this way .... she ruled the exact opposite. This tells me is that the Mueller Counsel has no evidence (or they are not comfortable with it) .... and that their Russian troll farm indictment is on shaky grounds. Either way .... we will know the answer on Wednesday when the arraignment for this case begins as scheduled. And if this case does fall apart .... talk about this being be a huge embarrassment for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein .... after-all he was the one who announced these charges with much fan-fare just a few months ago.

I still don't understand why Mueller who is a smart guy went to accept a more "political" mission than a criminal one. He has only risk to take.

It's getting embarrassing quickly. All of us saw it coming months ago and now Mueller is running out of time and options fast. Judges clearly seem to take issue with what's going on. The contributor ladies on CNN however go on on their shriking voices...reminded me of hens today just voicing their deluded opinions while pulling 6 digit cheques for essentially spewing nonsense and not being able to distinguish fact from fiction. Just because you all want Trump to be gone and trip up doesn't mean he will. He won't. He's a billionaire president and you're just more and more embarrassingly looming hens mouthing off all day long while looking stupid. That's what the people see. You hens gotta wake up haha it's the same hens that don't get that this guy managed to use his TV persona to get $ 2bn in free TV time during the campaign. He's using the exact same stick throughout. Of course the Russian troll farm was meant to be exposed as part of the Trump Russia collusion disinformation campaign. It was a throwaway. It did not get HRC elected but that darned story on a life of its own didnt it?

Let him go before the Mueller group and testify under oath...that should clear up for all the entire thing.

If Trump gets a time wrong by say 15 minutes, the slimy snake Mueller will have him up on charges.
Fred, you were in the military, but you do not seem to remember much. JAGs use formal language such as "on or about" to describe when an incident occurred. If they gave the time and date without those words, the case would fall apart. Many of them did.
Mueller, the snake, has had over a year. and soon to be years. If he is not ready by Wednesday he has nothing except to make up some process crimes.
I bet you were gleeful when Scooter Libby went to prison. The special prosecutor was investigating who leaked Valerie Plames' name. He knew it was Armitage. That did not stop that rat bastard from indicting and imprisoning Scooter Libby.
Maybe the special prosecutor went after Libby because he was Jewish. I just found out Scooter was Jewish in April. Not that it matters. But it may have mattered to the Democrat denizens of the Swamp of the Potomac. Grow up REMF!
