North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during a May 26 meeting at Panmunjon with South Korean President Moon Jae-in (South Korea Presidential Blue House)
The Asahi Shimbun: Video of a tearful Kim Jong Un gets all the experts guessing
SEOUL--Video footage of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un venting tears of frustration over the slow pace of economic reform in his backward country is making the rounds of the corridors of power in Pyongyang.
This side of the man, considered by many in the West as a despot, could be viewed as an attempt to portray the "Dear Leader" in a more flattering light as North Korea continues to signal its readiness to open up more to the outside world through a dramatic change in its foreign policy.
As the third-generation member to lead North Korea with an iron grip, Kim Jong Un, like his father and grandfather before him, is revered as a god-like figure.

Update: Kim Jong Un reportedly cried over North Korea's bad economy, and it could show he's ready to cave to Trump (Business Insider).
WNU Editor: If this video is being circulated among government officials in North Korea .... it is because it has been sanctioned by Kim Jong-un's office. This is pure propaganda .... crying that you are trying your best, while blaming everyone else for the dismal affairs of the country.

Kim Jong Un "cave" to Trump? Any world leader "cave" to an American POTUS? Such would be pure nonsense. As to Kim Jong Un "crying" and having the video released, this seems unlikely. If this is propaganda on the part of NK, it is very bad propaganda.
Maybe a coup in NK is inevitable. Maybe a coup in china is inevitable. After all engaging in any kind of peace process with America is going to be risky for leaders of these countries. If coups happen, what does this do to the process?
For NK and China I do not know. For America after pretty much continuous war in various places with someone at least since WW2 and now faces with a crumbling infrastructure, massive national debt, an aging population, and a military that has been worn down terribly in the face of an uptick in fruitless operations, we must have peace. I'm pretty sure POTUS knows this. As such, expect America to try and continue the peace process regardless who leads NK or China.
The Kim family has wanted a summit with the US President for decades so for them the meeting itself is their big goal. China has urged the same thing.
Both want the US military out of South Korea, probably more so now that THAAD is staring deep into China and North Korea.
A photo op, then back to the hard work by the NORKS of tunneling and undermining South Korea.
