Reuters: Netanyahu says not seeking Iran war as U.S. faces deadline

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday Israel was not seeking war with Iran, one day after unveiling what he said was evidence of a secret Iranian nuclear weapons program.

Netanyahu made his case as U.S. President Donald Trump considers whether to withdraw the United States from a 2015 deal between Iran and six major powers aimed at limiting Iran’s nuclear program.

Both Netanyahu and Trump have long criticized the agreement and in several U.S. television interviews on Tuesday, Netanyahu made his points directly to the American people. Trump himself is known to watch and tweet his reactions to early morning American programs.

He wants the US to do the war. If the price is right they might make a deal. But what can Israel offer for exchange of a war that easily could cost 5 trillion? Nothing really. ..except...flattery...and the opportunity to make Obama look bad. . so you'll see him on the Charme offensive and supply trump with all the anti-Obama tools and slogans Trump craves

Does Netanyahu have any credibility left? Did he have any to begin with?

The only people who will buy what he's selling are the ones in the US gov't predisposed to it (neocons, spineless pols who need campaign funds). US, NATO and other intel agencies will be able to call bull on his jive.

But will the powers that be listen? We can only hope.
