U.S. Department of Justice Will Investigate 'FBI Spying' On The Trump Campaign

* In an unusual move, the president's spokeswoman announced an expansion of the a Department of Justice is expanding a probe into alleged FBI misconduct to include President Trump's claims that there may have been a 'mole' within his campaign reporting back to the feds.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a Monday afternoon statement that after a meeting with Trump this afternoon, DOJ officials agreed to ask the department's Inspector General to look into 'irregularities' within the FBI's 'tactics concerning the Trump Campaign.'

'It was also agreed that White House Chief of Staff Kelly will immediately set up a meeting with the FBI, DOJ, and DNI together with Congressional Leaders to review highly classified and other information they have requested,' she said in a statement.

WNU Editor: President Trump's involvement in the Russian probe is making a lot of people uneasy .... In extraordinary meeting, Trump gets involved in congressional oversight of Russia probe (USA Today). But in view of the startling media reports over the weekend that there was a FBI spy/informer in the Trump campaign .... an impartial investigation is warranted. I am just surprised that President Trump did not demand a Special Counsel .... relying instead on the Inspector General to do the investigation.
