ABC News Online: Australian soldiers flew Nazi swastika flag from vehicle in Afghanistan; PM says diggers' actions 'absolutely wrong'
Australian soldiers have been photographed flying a Nazi swastika flag from their vehicle while on operations in Afghanistan.
The photo, obtained exclusively by the ABC, was taken in August 2007.
The photograph shows the large swastika emblem hoisted over an Australian military vehicle.
Two separate Defence sources have identified a particular soldier as the individual who took the flag to Afghanistan.

WNU Editor: Is this disgusting .... definitely. But this happened 11 years ago ... so why the scrutiny now? My gut is telling me that there is more at play here than what the Australian government is saying.

The first thing I thought upon viewing the flag was....doctored. That is a dry country, hence it's appearance but that flag.....just doesn't pass inspection.

It made the news here 10 years ago, the commandos were investigated and disciplined so l suppose its real.
My opinion is if it helps th cope with the stress of living ,fighting and dying on that shithole let them do what relieves the stress. Not like they on Poland or the Taliban give a crap.

Australian ABC is currently running a smear campaign against Australian armed forces. Every few days they are bringing out reports like this. ABC are undermining their own country as usual.
Agreed it is sad. I don't condone skitzo soldiers from my own country but at the same time the abc etc are reporting nothing about the stress they are under. The same guys 11 years on I can guarantee will be embarrassed of that pic. We all did stupid shit when we're young
