World War II still hasn’t ended, yet World War III already looms. When China and Japan agreed to normalize relations in 1945, it was stipulated that the disputed Senkaku/Diaoyu Islands (a string of uninhabited rocks equidistant from Japan, China and Taiwan) would not be militarized and the dispute would be put off for future generations. That future is here. The recent discovery of large oil and gas reserves under the islands has heated up the situation dramatically, with military budgets surging, and warships, coast guards and fighter jets scrambling to assert control over the commons.

Might happen sooner than later with this trade war heating up. We are in uncharted territories......hence the importance to keep up to date with war news :-)

China has made mistake after mistake. Look at all the countries they threatened with war and pissed off over the last 5 years: Vietnam Philippines India Japan south Korea..they're pretty much encircled with nations that don't want them even if it means bringing business. The Chinese constantly beat up Philippines fishermen and send tons of drugs to the Philippines. Duterte is still in their pocket though because his son is connected to Chinese drug mafia (and Duterte had thousands killed on sometimes lowest drug charges. .so he risks everything of he pisses of the Chinese, but even though he's incredibly popular still in Philippines among the uneducated especially, one news paper article can change all that and people will want revenge for his killings while his son has deep connections to chinese drug mafia. .I see a lynch mob Gaddafi style). Japan has very bad history with China, as everyone knows. India is at constant near war over border disputes with China. China threatened Vietnam with war as recently as last year over an oil field (!) And the list goes on. I'm -amazed- how anyone can believe in this China success myth ..years of diplomacy failures on the world stage make China look like an intellectual infant. ..on top we now know China faked its gdp by >20%. The market has not yet adjusted for that (!) even. Not looking good for the dragon.
