Democracy is cool and all. But in a world where you have totalitarian states like north Korea, China, Iran and Russia, we cannot operate in this vacuum of political correctness and absolute rightfulness.

We now have SJWs directly impacting national security. If you don't like what Google does, just leave. Work at an organic food store if you have such a hard time and are so conflicted over national security just because it touches on AI.

We f'ing need AI. And we need companies like Google working on it. Or you SJWs get together and stop china's and russia's AI research. But you can't and you won't. So you're making the problem bigger.

Russia and China will not stop and will not comply with international AI standards. This is the reality.

And if we don't have "good" AI to stop "bad" AI, a drum circle and people chanting peace songs will not help. This is more important than the race for the bomb.

Wow. Minders, huh? It's a regular Oceania.

You know there is a difference between authoritarian and totalitarianism, right?

To the smarty pants who claimed China, Iran and North Korea are not totalitarian states: In what world do you live? I have been only to China, admittedly, but several times. Have you? If you want to doubt Iran and North Korea to be totalitarian, you're trying to be funny.
If you are trying to say that China is not totalitarian, you are either brain washed or did not pay attention. Xi is president for life now. You noticed? No more elections. There was also only one party all the time, but now there's also only one rules. Forever. You get that? That's been news for several months now. On top, their torture chambers, abductions of book sellers from Hong Kong (you follow the news at all?), suppression of naval rights (South China sea) militarization of South china sea, roughening up (sometimes disappearing) of fishermen of other nations in the areas China claims, arming of North Korea (everything from mobile rocket launchers to the actual rocket fuel the Norsk will use in a war with us). On top the whole deal that information into China is being filtered more an more (the chinese firewall, you heard of that?), their social credit system (you heard of that?)

F u man, if you have no freaking idea what's happening and what China is doing and what a totalitarian state looks like, then first read up before rushing to their defence
