NBC: North Korea has increased nuclear production at secret sites, say U.S. officials

"Work is ongoing to deceive us on the number of facilities, the number of weapons, the number of missiles," said one U.S. official.

WASHINGTON — U.S. intelligence agencies believe that North Korea has increased its production of fuel for nuclear weapons at multiple secret sites in recent months — and that Kim Jong Un may try to hide those facilities as he seeks more concessions in nuclear talks with the Trump administration, U.S. officials told NBC News.

The intelligence assessment, which has not previously been reported, seems to counter the sentiments expressed by President Donald Trump, who tweeted after his historic June 12 summit with Kim that "there was no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea."

Analysts at the CIA and other intelligence agencies don't see it that way, according to more than a dozen American officials who are familiar with their assessments and spoke on the condition of anonymity. They see a regime positioning itself to extract every concession it can from the Trump administration — while clinging to nuclear weapons it believes are essential to survival.

You all know this means war between China and the US,right?
Xi gave Kim security assurances during last visit. And few months back China threatened the US with war in case they were to take out the nukes with ground forces (which they have to. You cannot take them out from air reliably anymore as the Chinese (!!!) Sold north Korea mobile missile launch systems)
I think it's time to make case in front of UN and then go for it. If China again comes to help of North Korea (as during the first Korean war! ) I say nuke them if they step into north Korea territory.enough of China causing trouble. China wants to steal our stuff, bully our friends and make partners with murderers. Bad choice, China. This will be your end

You calm down. Xi just doubled down on "either we get Taiwan or you'll have to live with a nuclear north Korea". You don't get it.. please don't run for office, ever

The "summit" was a reality TV show, an empty gesture. I said it then and say it now, nothing happened. Nothing happened.

Nothing happened?

Whiplash can be dangerous in a 1984 world.

Quit blaming Trump. Blame Xi.
Then, since we are back at the start line, we resume military exercises with S. Korea. We also "slow down" Chinese student visas.
Amazingly enough, the latest NK tanker found transferring oil experienced mechanical difficulties and is adrift in the ocean. Etc.
We would also not approach them anymore. The ball is in their court.
Certainly the tone of their press and staged demonstrations, etc., will give us an accurate, I presume, indication where this is going.
