North Korea is carrying out 'rapid improvements' to its main nuclear research facility, despite Kim Jong Un's promise to commit to denuclearisation of the peninsula during his summit with Donald Trump earlier this month.

New satellite images show that not only are operations continuing at the Yongbyon nuclear site, several new buildings have been erected in recent months, monitoring website 38 North said today.

At the end of the Singapore talks, Kim said he would 'work toward' the goal, but neither he nor Trump defined denuclearisation or set a deadline.

Hmm China doing its military drills near Taiwan, and perhaps first sign of Kim violating understood agreement. And it is also understood that such a violation could directly lead to war. Has Kim changed course after his recent China visit? Has China decided this is the time to take Taiwan (and use the north Korea distraction as a method to reduce likelihood of US intervention? The US certainly does not want a two front war. .but China has to be big that NATO and Pacific alliance partners do not get involved. Could be the time china gets pounced on. The knives been out a long time by many countries fed up with china. Russia will stay out of this fight because they'll be the winners when the West and China clash.
