Task & Purpose: US F-15 Fighter Jet Crashes Off Coast Of Japan
An Air Force F-15C pilot has been rescued after the fighter crashed off Okinawa, Japan, officials have announced.
* The fighter was on a training mission when it went down about 6:26 a.m. Monday local time, an 18th Wing news release says.
* “The pilot was the only person in the aircraft and successfully ejected,” the news release says. “Search and rescue crews have responded and successfully recovered the pilot.”
