Ex-CIA Director Brennan Accuses President Trump of 'Treason'

CNN: Former intel chiefs condemn Trump's news conference with Putin

Washington (CNN) Former US intelligence chiefs expressed astonishment and condemnation Monday in response to President Donald Trump's comments at Monday's news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin, with former CIA Director John Brennan calling the US President's performance "nothing short of treasonous."

Following his one-on-one meeting with Putin in Helsinki, Finland, Trump declined to endorse the US intelligence community's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 election over Putin's denial, saying the Russian President was "extremely strong and powerful" in his denial.

"Donald Trump's press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of 'high crimes & misdemeanors.' It was nothing short of treasonous," Brennan, a frequent critic of Trump who served as CIA chief from 2013 through January 2017, tweeted during the event.

"Not only were Trump's comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???"

What is Brennan scared of? Is there a chance crimes committed by him come out after all is said and done?

Wtf is Brennan thinking? To act like this and have no proof whatsoever ..in America I thought one is innocent until proven guilty. Calling someone a traitor and being an ex official as high up as Brennan..unbelievable.

At least there finally seems to be some signs of patriotism in the GOP. Trump is a disgrace. The MAGA bitter-enders will never give it up but many are now seeing this despicable liar for what he is. November can't come soon enough.

Doesn't the charge of treason demand a state of war to be in effect?Even if russians meddled in the internal affairs of the US the US and Russia are not formally at war.True the definition doesn't specifically state that but precedent usually implies a certain conflict to be taking place.

I always laugh at those who claim it is 'patriotic' to stand up against Trump...

Is it also patriotic to lie and hide behind a dossier which has been at the heart of the investigation into Trump and the supposedly election fraud.

Is it patriotic to stand behind lies?

Well maybe somebody should go on an "apology tour" and try to make up...oh wait a second...

Anything that is anti-Obama is OK, right? Or is this disaster all part of the Hillary, Obama, CIA, FBI, NSI, wheels within wheels, fake news, deep state, etc, etc? The conspiracies run deep and strong my friend!

MAGA baby, all the way regardless!

Ask those Wagner group fellas about the "apology tour"...oh never mind, they got MAGAed.

Trump disgraced America, siding with Putin and against CIA, NSA, Senate intel and any number of gop elected officials who stated that Russia interfered.
Now try this: Trump and Putin alone in room with only translator(s)...they come out, Putin speaks. Then Trump speaks reading (watch his eyes on prepared speech):
WHO GAVE HIM THE SPEECH TO MAKE?
1. before he met?
2. someone inside we do not know about?
3. Russian sources
riddle me this

Trump introduced himself as the candidate Putin does not own.

Putin scrambled to come up with a nice bone.
