BBC: Nicaragua crisis: '38 killed in bloodiest day' - NGO
Sunday was the deadliest day in Nicaragua since a wave of anti-government protests started in April, a local human rights group says.
According to the Nicaraguan Centre for Human Rights (Cenidh), 38 people were killed during clashes in three areas.
Cenidh says 31 were anti-government protesters, four police officers and three members of pro-government groups.
Clashes between the security forces and anti-government protesters have been intensifying with deadly results.

Update #2: Is was surprised when I read the the above BBC report that 38 were killed in Nicaragua on Sunday (the number is probably much higher). There was nothing on the wire services that I always monitor (AP, AFP, Reuters) on what was happening in Nicaragua on that day. It is almost as if a decision was made to not cover the violence in the country.

The much more interesting observation is whom are deciding what stories to bury for all the major news outlets such as ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, LAT, NYT, WAPO, CNN, etc? Who are they? How do they meet? Who is the leader? Where are they located?
Group think is strong in the MSM so that suggests a group exists to do the thinking.
