WNU Editor: Daily Et tu Boris? Johnson QUITS in devastating blow for May as she faces furious Tory MPs in the Commons over her 'stinker' Brexit trade plan - and more ministers could follow him out of the door

* David Davis resigned as Brexit Secretary at midnight in protest at Theresa May's plans for the UK's exit
* Mr Davis said her policies announced at Chequers would leave UK in a 'weak' negotiating position with EU
* Boris Johnson followed suit this afternoon by quitting as Foreign Secretary after hours of speculation
* PM's job hanging by a thread as she faces stormy appearance before Commons and Tory backbenchers
* Jacob Rees-Mogg said he would oppose the PM's proposals and accused her of trying to 'bounce' ministers
* Mrs May's chief of staff has been briefing Opposition MPs to try to win wider support for her Brexit blueprint

Theresa May is in a desperate battle for her political life today after Boris Johnson dramatically quit over her 'third way' Brexit plan.

The Foreign Secretary resigned just minutes before the PM took to her feet the Commons in a statement to MPs about the compromise package she forced through the Cabinet on Friday night.

Mrs May tried to put a brave face on the shattering blow this afternoon, paying tribute to Mr Johnson's commitment to 'Global Britain'. She mounted an impassioned defence of her blueprint, saying it was the 'Brexit in our national interest'.

But some Labour MPs jeered 'bye' and 'resign' as she stood up to address the chamber.

PM May has had a tough road hasn't she? She wasn't in favor of Brexit and has to midwife it. The EU is doing all it can to sabotage her negotiations and she has difficult dealings with Trump and of course the big problem of explaining why so many former British spies were based in London and working to sabotage Trump's campaign in 2016. No doubt she has explained to Trump why her MI6 head resigned suddenly just after Trump's election.

She's quite the juggler!

She and her husband were unable to have children.

I think 48 Conservative MPs would need to write to the chairman of the 1922 committee of backbench Tories to trigger a leadership contest against Theresa May.

I wonder if her Minister of Defense will soon resign in protest? He has put PM May on notice the defense spending she proposes is seriously too little. After the NATO summit we'll know. British military readiness isn't much better than Germany's and the later is non-existent.

Bohemond,

In vitro and other things won't always work.

Still I think it is a fair question as to how hard they tried.

I distrust people, who rob a country blind to aggrandize their children and family, and I distrust those, who have no children. Do they really have a stake in the future?

In either case those with many or few people can be good people, but the question always comes to mind.

If the former case Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi come to mind.
