Video Of Melania Trump Looking Horrified After Shaking Hands With Putin Emerges

Daily Mail: Video of Melania looking horrified after shaking hands with Putin emerges as social media speculates that she is 'the only one in the room who understands how dangerous this man actually is'

* Putin can be seen smiling and nodding in the clip as he is introduced to Melania
* Melania, who is a few inches taller than the ex-spy strongman, smiles in return
* But as soon as Putin releases her hand, she pulls a bizarre face in apparent shock

A video has emerged showing Melania Trump apparently looking horrified after shaking Vladimir Putin's hand during her husband's summit with the Russian president.

Putin can be seen smiling and nodding in the clip as he is introduced to Melania by President Trump in Helsinki, Finland on Monday.

Melania, who is a few inches taller than the ex-spy strongman, also smiles during the handshake in an apparently natural way.

WNU Editor: Looking at the video it is hard to say what is actually going through her mind. But saying that she is the only who knows how dangerous Putin is .... hmmmm .... not really. I think everyone knows who Russian President Putin is, including President Trump .... Scoop: The time Putin actually enraged Trump (Axios). More here .... Putin showed a threatening video of nukes hitting Florida — and an outraged Trump snapped on him (Business Insider).

"...I think everyone knows who Putin is...." I'm not so sure or perhaps they do but have allowed ideology to blind them to reality.

Who is Putin? He is the leader of Russia. Russia has a significant military presence in many of the world's top combat zones. Unlike America they were actually invited in. Russia possesses a massive nuclear arsenal that is arguably the world's most advanced. Will our aging arsenal even work? Candidate Trump was right to ask this. He said the first thing he did upon assuming office was to fix this problem. I sincerely hope he did. In order to properly advance American interests we are going to have to cooperate with Putin.

Several years ago Forbes had him pegged as the world's most powerful person. That assessment isn't far off. He does not need the affirmation of POTUS to know acknowledge his importance. Those who somehow think

Basically POTUS has to deal with him. Those who think that a public dressing down of such a person would be a good idea reveal how uninformed they really are of how things actually work. Such a public dressing down could have had only one ending and that would be a bad one.

I will watch the video time permitting. Was Mrs. Trump "horrified?" She may have known what the response of the pundit class would be to such statesmanship on the part of her husband. This would be enough to horrify anyone. Imagine, POTUS meets with arguably the world's most powerful person to conduct diplomacy. The democrats and the media go bonkers. To top it off, members of his own party reveal their stupidity in joining in.

Putin did not even need this meeting!! We do and did need it. Hopefully the American people are bit smarter than the pundits and the leadership class. I think we are and most will see through this and will pursue peace.

I think we are going to get this done in spite of the small minded and petty idiots. This is part of why POTUS was elected. Like him or not he is methodically fulfilling his campaign promises.

Looked like a regular enthusiast handshake to me.. Her face only loses enthusiasm when she goes to face the camera, and put on her camera face.

Anon,

When I ask the question "who is Putin" everything I type is factual except for perhaps one thing. Russia may not have been invited in everywhere they have a military presence, however, in the places of importance such as Crimea, Eastern Ukraine, and Syria they were invited in. Everything I type is easily researched and verified.

Now as to whether or not Putin needed this meeting, I say he probably did not. By their actions the Euros don't view Russia as a threat but are happy to have the largess of NATO and to have us be the ones to absorb the blows should these policies toward Russia go awry. We have a number of areas where it is going to be problematic at best to advance our interests without some kind of understanding with Russia.

You call me a blatant troll. As I point out, the facts I state are easily researched and verified. You accuse me of "ass kissing." If anyone who points out an opposing viewpoint that is supportable by evidence and anyone who supports a position of negotiations with a powerful world leader whose assistance in a number of areas would be most helpful is going to be accused of being a "troll" or "ass kissing" we are in even greater trouble than I thought. Pointing out flawed policies and trying to establish decent working relations with powerful people and countries is a mark of good leadership. To immediately accuse such people of being a "troll" or "ass kissing" is actually indicative that you have a very weak argument and that you are desperately trying to cling to in the face of substantial evidence that doesn't support your position. As such, you must "shout down" others with insults.

I'm happy to have a candid conversation about this. If you have something constructive to add, please do so. Otherwise don't waste my time.

"I would rather take a political risk in pursuit of peace, than to risk peace in pursuit of politics." Donald J. Trump. This quote ranks right up there with John F Kennedy's quote "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country" (paraphrase). One way or the other the quote by DJT will remembered through the ages.

The question will be how the quote by DJT is remembered. Will we be able to rise above petty politics in order to get this done or at least make the attempt or are we going to wallow in petty domestic politics in support of a sore loser who just can't get past it, her supporters who are having trouble coming to terms as well, and those who didn't want DJT in the first place and are already jaundiced against him?

In a way it is to bad that DJT seems unable to speak as eloquently as JFK seems to have been able to. Then again we did not elect a polished politician. We elected a no nonsense business person with a track record of getting things done who sometimes speaks off the cuff and sometimes misspeaks. We had had our fill of smooth political types and to have continued own that path would have been dangerous if not suicidal.
