Dimitri Alexander Simes, National Interest: Trump-Putin Summit: The View from Moscow
While no one in Moscow expects a miraculous turnaround in U.S.-Russian relations after this summit, there is a genuine hope that some modest progress can be made.
On Monday, Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin will meet in Helsinki. Among the Russian foreign policy elite, there is a sense of cautious optimism about the summit. Despite a clear understanding of the current obstacle to improved relations between Washington and Moscow, many believe that the two presidents can find a way to begin easing tensions. To gain a better sense of Russian expectations, I spoke with a number of leading politicians and academics in Moscow.

WNU Editor: The need to have an open dialogue and discussions on security issues is a must between the two countries, and I believe the Helsinki summit will accomplish that. Sanctions is a big concern for President Putin .... and this will be on the table. Syria is also a big concern for Putin .... the Syrian war is not only far from over, but it may become a battleground between Israel and Iran in the future. U.S. involvement to make sure that this will not happen will be a must.

When speaking of being mad Smith takes the cake.
‘America’s enemy:’ Trump’s ghostwriter backs claim Trump has been Russian asset for thirty years
You use a fake name, tell us Obama does not release his records, yet it is ok that Trump refuses to show his tax returns, something all modern presidents have done, and Obama, meanwhile, admitted to the bar and Trump makes the stupid remarks about Obama not being American though this was clearly proven
you are plain silly and dumping non stop drivel does not detract from that, nor your non stop name calling. Bolton fiercly anti Russian and now very pro Russian. Is he a right early on; right now, or simply a grifter looking to butt kiss his boss?
Gowdy to Trump: Ask Putin where "we can pick up the 25 Russians" indicted in Mueller probe
training wheels name calling ? I challenge your high school record with his or if you had gone to college, then those...learn this: calling names and implying stupid lies is not grown up activity and show us what you are
The US bailed out on Syria...most of us know that. We left the Kurds and the rebels to fend for themselves; we allowed Iran to enter along with Russia and also Turkey...now some of your comment babies will blame this on Obama but that is nonsense...Who has been in White House for some year and a half? Trump gives Assad, aka Putin, what he wants
"We have"? are yuou now with the justice dept?
if cause it would have been done...thus more BS dribbling from you
on and on and on and hearings etc and NADA
sort of similar to your bullshit unloading tons of manure and nothing worthwhile
You are like Trump with attacks on Obama and/or Hillary to deflect what is going on
you are, alas, not cute but childish and surly
Hey dipshit, when's the last time you heard of a terror attack from Iran?? It's always been wahabbi salafists from Saudi,Qatar and UAE. But since usa and those Arab countries are in bed, it's ok for them to spread terror. Israel expands and takes over more land from Palestine but it's ok because it's an ally. Crimea joins Russia through a referendum and Russia is bad. This is how stupid usa and its citizens are such as yourself. You are the true definition of idiocy
Smith:
No. I was only commenting on you and you nutcase.
