More than 100 cars have been set alight in across Sweden overnight, as gangs of masked youths went rampaging in a series of arson attacks believed to have been coordinated on social media.

Dozens of vehicles burned in Sweden's four major cities - Stockholm, Malmo, Gothenburg and Uppsala - on Monday evening and in the early hours of Tuesday.

Was these cities also characterized as "no-go" areas? The Swedish govt assured the world and made fun of Trump for suggesting Sweden had "no-go" areas. Right? So these rioters were blonde, blue eyed Swedes with a lineage going back many generations to salts of the Swedish earth?

Anon,

I bet they were Islamic. They were probably part of the group that "western" governments foolishly allowed to invade their country by throwing the doors open wide to the proverbial home invader. The editor reports on another attack in London today.

I thought about some snark when I saw each of these posts by suggesting the attackers were Russian. To think some in the US at least with the new defense bill want to divert resources away from the much needed fight against Islamic terrorists and the states who support them to a new Cold War with Russia and more confrontation with China seems harebrained at best and insane at worst. This is the type of mentality that comes up with fantasies of Russian interference and/or collusion. I pray our respective civilizations can and will survive this insanity. If we can hang on, at some point we can look forward to saner leadership.

And by the way, the PM did not say "f***" on national radio. The correct translation is "what the hell are they doing." It feels a bit misleading to credit him for having a spine.

This burning of cars happens every year, nothing new. So why the strong language all of the sudden? Election next month.

Thanks, Hans.

Can you tell us what the people of Sweden are thinking right now?

The election is going to tell what the average Swedish citizen are thinking. I don't like to speak for the Swedish people, but about the car-burnings I think almost everyone is against it. This phenomena is a yearly thing, nothing new. Media has always downplayed this and soon forgotten, as for the "no-go zones" the media appear like if they doesn't exists. Even tho some foreign media has tried to make reports from these areas, but promptly being chased away by immigrants. The Swedish media and the government has always denied its existens. I have even seen tiny reports about certain subway-stops in our capitol, Stockholm, where there are "no-go zones", no train inspectors or anything is allowed in there by immigrants. It's not safe for them. Our ambulances and firetrucks need police escorts in these zones. Even one of the biggest security company in Sweden, Securitas, needs police escorts in these zones, this should tell you something about the situation here.

So yeah, all in all, its pretty bad. And the current government does not want or have the courage to restrict or change anything.
