Times of Israel: Decade-old interrogation of Iraqi cleric shows Iran’s part in killing US troops

Recently declassified testimony of Shiite militia leader Qais al-Khazali details Iranian efforts to stoke 2007 attacks that killed or wounded hundreds of Americans.

Interrogations by US-led forces in Iraq of a top Shiite military and religious figure a decade ago are bringing to light the scale of Iran’s involvement in Iraqi Shiite militias’ attacks on US troops in the years following the American invasion.

Qais al-Khazali, who now heads the Asaib Ahl al-Haq militia that won 15 parliamentary seats in the country’s May elections, detailed the scale of Iranian involvement in the country in the 2007 interrogation, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing recently declassified documents.

Once again the same old question; why was this document kept under wraps for so long? And why was it released only now? And which entity determined we, who pay for these situations in the first place, could not see just what it was we were paying for sight unseen?
Just like the Kennedy files, etc., etc.
Hmmm, upon further reflection, considering the date and the follow on behavior of who became the 2008 tenant of the White House, the answers to the above questions are now more clear this time. But don't fret, there's plenty more under wraps to question.

your fucking parents must have been as shitheads as you...fuck them and fuck you
now for some more girly sniping, asshole...so predictable
I favored the Iran agreemet, for better or worse. What we now have is a pres who does nothing after dumping the understanding, turning our allies away from us, and still maintaining assholes who support him while he does nothing about what this post tells us. Why? Oh, right. Russia and Iran support Assad too
so Miss Smith: go stick you head up your ass and wallow in your own shit

My spouse, odd one, adores me and has been my pal and girlfriend for a lot of years, I am happy to say. As for my female students: they loved me as did my male students for what I offered in my courses. Childish sniping on your part is shrike-like and tells readers more about you than about me

Roger, please, we have been over this. Sigh. OK one more time:

Whatever Obama did was the right thing to do. No matter what.

Giving Iran those billions and assissting them to evade US sanctions was a good thing. If you criticise Obama and anything his administration did, you'll automatically be a racist. You might lose your job. Do you want to be called a racist and lose your family? Good, then shu* up and repeat:

1. Obama was awesome and everything he did, including the red line debacle, fast and furious, spying on the trump campaign, press gag orders, and even paying a regime that killed thousands of US soldiers, all while hollowing out the US army and even the "pivot to Asia", those were all great things. Genius you might say. If you say 3 dimensional chess and if you manage to drop in the words "courageous" and "inspiring" you might even get a pay rise and promotion. Don't you want that?

Common. ..it's not that hard. Just ignore facts and common sense for the good of your family.

So. ...

Obama: greatest president ever, inspiring, courageous, never made a mistake ever

Trump: an idiot, a traitor, an embarrassment. (The more things you say against Trump the better. You can even suggest he murdered people, doesn't matter if it's not true, people will love you for it and you might get a 6-7 figure job on cnn or msnbc)

Think you can do it now?

I'll check in on your progress from time to time and we can rehearse things.

Sorry, meant to write hundreds, not thousands.

But you can say of course trump killed thousands of babies at the border. You won't have to correct yourself ever whatever you say about Trump.that's the beauty of it. You won't need facts. Ever. And the louder you shout the more courageous you'll be. :)

Aizino I'm happy to make fun of Fred because of his idiocy and hypocrisy. But the age thing is really tasteless. No matter how much we disagree with Fred, he's still a human being and deserves dignity. And calculating his departure is tasteless. Please consider apologising for this. It really was one bridge too far.

Please stop with the "I taught" English thing. My degrees are much more prestigious than yours (much better school and harder subjects), but you don't hear me gassing on about it for years. Just drop it, it makes you look shallow and further weakens your already weak standing

"Please stop with the "I taught" English thing. My degrees are much more prestigious than yours (much better school and harder subjects)"

UConn was the #2 school in the nation for the subject that you studied?

I looked at US NEWS and they have 'You Con' as 56th or 61th ranking at various times.

Mine was the #2 school in the nation for the subject I earned my degree in. Well that is not true. It was tied for second.

In my experience, when people wash out of a hard major, the school counselor enrolls the students in English. That way they can keep the student, I mean the money stream. English departments is where they do in depth, analytical studies comparing Harry Patter to Margaret Thatcher. English departments might as well be the Encyclopedia Galactica.

English department a like metastatic cancer cells for which springs forth all sorts of bad things like Women Studies programs and underwater basket weaving majors.

Prestigious? Your SAT score was? Your GRE was? You published?

I think it is a horse race between you and AL Gore ...
