A very fast, hard hit.

War Tech is always cool; counter measures will render this tech obsolete before it even gets fully developed.

Uhm that tech IS pretty much fully developed and used by several armies, including Chinese and Russians. The countermeasures are dragging. Other than that your comment wasn't entirely worthless^^

Neither the Harpoon nor the SLAM-ER are even supersonic. The new LRASM is also subsonic although it it supposed to be stealthy.

The Kh-31 can reach mach 3.5 apparently, which is 4321.8km/h!!!

Fusion,

You are not "doomed." As such you cannot say we are "all doomed" and be accurate. If our what seem to me to be blatantly misguided policies towards Russia go completely off the rails, it is not your head or that of your loved ones that on the chopping block. It is Americans who are going to bear the brunt of a Russian reprisal, not Canadians. You and your loved ones are safe. If you were an American and it was you and your loved ones in danger, you might be so caviler in what you posted.

With that said the US Navy might not be sunk in 15 minutes. It might not be sunk at all. In fact, the US might win. Such a "victory" would be EXTREMELY costly in terms of lives lost, valuable assets lost, and money spent and for what? What do we "win?" Given that we don't need it, can't readily afford it, victory is far from certain, there's nothing to gain, and a great deal to lose, POTUS wisely takes a look and says to paraphrase "lets reach an agreement to end this." On the other hand we have certain fools in the US and the "west" who simply MUST have their war with Russia at any and all costs. They simply MUST have it.

You suggest I should "chill." This is actually good advice. I shall try to implement it.:-)

With that said I have a different take on this than you. You speak of the Russians as brothers. They are NOT brothers. They are a very powerful country whose assistance we are going to need in a number of areas. To name two areas, Iran and North Korea.

You speak of manipulation, however, it is opposite of what you suggest. We are the ones being manipulated by unscrupulous pols egged on by partisan news personnel to hate on Russians and Putin.

As to election interference, any such interference would be like a child's water gun vs the vast ocean of HRC messaging. This coupled with little upside potential combined with huge downside risks associated with such interference means such claims lack credibility.

Furthermore the primary source is US Intel. They have a poor track record. Conclusion: Russian interference is a myth perpetrated by sore losers and other unsavory elements.

Russia, isn't invading our allies. If you are referring to Ukraine, they like many others are abusers and should not be considered allies. In contrast, the US has supported coups in the nations around Russia and NGOs have sought to destabilize the Russian government. Blowback would be bound to be expected.

Since you think of the Russians as brothers, I think you will agree the current hostility makes no sense. I also agree it will change. It changes either when Trump diplomacy succeeds or the Russians decide they've had enough.

I'm cautiously optimistic Trump diplomacy will succeed. I think the Russians are too. After all their responses have been mild compared to what they could be. I think we can eventually look forward to saner American policies in the future.
