A Look At China's Participation In The Vostok 2018 Military Exercise





Defense Blog: Russian and Chinese defense ministers inspects command posts at Vostok 2018

Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu held a meeting with his Chinese counterpart General Wei Fenghe during his visit to the Vostok 2018 maneuvers at the Tsugol training ground.

Having held the closed meeting, the defense ministers inspected an auxiliary command post of the Eastern Military District, command post of the 29th Army and command post of the PLA combined formation.

Minister of National Defence of China General Wei Fenghe highly appreciated the operation of the Russian command post at the Vostok 2018 maneuvers.

Was it a one on one scenario? Or do they lose against the USA?

Training with the Germans on Russian soil in the 1930's didn't buy the Russians very much good will, did it?
The Germans didn't talk much about training with the Russians either.

Germany saw Russia as isolated, weak and ripe for conquest. How does the Chinese view of eastern Russia differ?
