Peter Van Buren, Reuters: Insider Trump resisters are not heroes

The unnamed insiders who claim to be working clandestinely to resist Donald Trump are not heroes. As a State Department whistleblower who lost his career to tell the truth about the Iraq war, I am burdened by how the interviewees in Bob Woodward’s new book, “Fear,” and the anonymous writer of that New York Times “resistance” Op-Ed are hailed as patriots holding back the U.S. president’s worst impulses through fibs and bureaucratic tricks. Having faced similar choices, I know their approach is neither honorable, nor effective.

WNU Editor: Peter Van Buren is correct. No one should join the government to do only things they think are personally right. In the end the policy goals of the President becomes the policy of the United States, and when that happens there has to be unity when implementing it. If you do not want to implement these policies .... well then .... that is when you will have to look for another job.

Imagine we had republicans in the Obama admin that try to sabotage him, leak classified info, steal letters and notes from Obama 's desk and vow to resist him. The left would go nuts. But ,as it's Trump, CNN applauds anyone making up stories, no evidence needed, unlimited airtime, often no follow up questions. You know, when "Journalism" and activism becomes the same, it really makes me wonder why cnn cannot be sued for slander and manipulating the democratic process

This is how the Left works. They don't have any real ideas just left minded crap. They use Drama to control people and you can see it in these posts. Big picture; the Left has lost many Governor positions, houses, the Senate and the Presidency because of this. So, they just shout louder as they loose influence.

Thanks for the link, a number of polls in one spot. Due to the track record that is superior to the others Rasmussen is probably the most accurate which has between 45 to 48% approval.

There is a variable that is tricky to measure. Trump supporters don't want to talk to pollsters. Employers do not want their employees to publicly support Trump. Few want to risk reprisals by antifa thugs or other unscrupulous elements.

In the privacy of a voting booth people will act differently. As such, realistically add 5 to 10 points to Rasmussen to arrive at Trump's actual approval rating. It is my considered opinion anyone who relies on the polls will be in for another surprise.
