An American soldier killed in Afghanistan this summer wasn’t yet 3 when the war began. Seventeen years after 9/11, America still seems determined to keep fighting.
John Dailey recalls the events of September 11, 2001, well.
“We were in Darwin, Australia, training, and it was actually the first night that we got to go out” on the town, Dailey, who was the platoon sergeant for the force reconnaissance platoon for the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, told me recently. He and his men had finished training and were preparing to get back on their boat.
“We were all sitting in a pub in Darwin with soccer games on TV,” he said. “Suddenly, they switched over to images of the World Trade Center in flames, and we knew it wasn’t going to be a routine deployment.”

It appears at this point America has lost. As an American, this means we have lost. To continue with this for another decade or longer assuming we actually can only prolongs the agony and makes the pain all the worse. As I have been told, when in a hole the first thing you do is STOP DIGGING!!
As such, the best approach would be an immediate withdrawal of American forces from Afghanistan. The other option is to stay, continue depleting our resources and hope for a miracle. This doesn't seem like a good option.
America continues its rot from within.
This has next to nothing to do with our leaders, whether they be "right" or "left", Trump or Obama. Our representatives represent us and we, the people, are rotten.
We worship false idols, are slaves to materialism running on the hamster wheel of consumerism buying s$%t on credit we don't want or need.
Meanwhile, finance capitalism has destroyed main street and driven wealth inequality to absurd levels. More wealth is funneled upward and the middle class is steadily destroyed. The bills will come due in the next seven years, the sugar high will wear off much sooner. And the oceans will keep on rising.
The deficit grew 32% in 2018 so far. It's only gonna get bigger and "growth" or some other such magic isn't gonna save this sinking ship.
A lot of people, in rotting, drug-addled America and in the testing grounds of the national security state across the rimland are going to die.
"America continues to rot from within." This is what our leaders tell us. They want us to give up. Then along came Donald Trump. Then some thought their might be hope for America's future!! Our "leaders" couldn't have this!! Of course university professors, government bureaucracrats, and poloticians ALWAYS do well no matter what the economy does.
Such people not only don't understand "win/win" scenarios but they hate it when others win even when they are lording over the rest of us. The idea that someone might have something that they have even to a lesser extent than they do is absolutely repulsive to them!! They cannot have this!!
Tax cuts and regulatory reforms as Trump has implemented will solve our problems if they aren't to little to late. Of course more needs to be done. The key is empower the American people. This isn't something politicians, University professors, or government bureaucracrats want to have happen. This threatens their control.
Of course Americans don't bear ill will towards these people. They only want what these people take for granted.

You live in what country, sir? No matter. I don't think you can manage your life satisfactorily no matter what country it is in which you exist.
My advice; look in the yellow pages under Butchers. Watch for funny bones to be on sale. Buy a 10 pound bag. Consume.
