EIA: The United States is now the largest global crude oil producer
The United States likely surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the world’s largest crude oil producer earlier this year, based on preliminary estimates in EIA’s Short-Term Energy Outlook (STEO). In February, U.S. crude oil production exceeded that of Saudi Arabia for the first time in more than two decades. In June and August, the United States surpassed Russia in crude oil production for the first time since February 1999.

WNU Editor: Oil experts earlier this year were saying that U.S. oil production would surpass Russia and Saudi Arabia by 2019 .... U.S. Set to Become World's Top Oil Producer By 2019 (July 11, 2018). Their predictions were wrong .... the U.S. is already the world's number one producer of oil. What is even more jaw-breaking is that U.S. oil production growth shows no signs of stopping. The geo-political impact of this trend cannot be underestimated.

Editor,
The last sentence of your comment pretty much says it all. This has the potential of making the US the world's most powerful country.
Something to think about, this has come about because of fracking. Fracking only was able to come to fruition because it happened so quickly that the government and their enviro whacko arm were unable to crush it in the cradle. Also, this was not invented by a university professor, a member of green peace, a government bureaucrat, or a union boss. It was invented by entrepreneurs who recognized a need and sought to fill it. Many other technologies have come about because of this.
Now now Poster,
Obama says.......
Now, now Roger,
Let's not,... uh,...throw, uh.. shade on the Glorious Light Bringer.
On a serious note, I have been thinking this week about moving to Texas while the going is good.
I have never referred to mysrlf as a "Glorious Light Bringer." Such an assertion would be hubris. I am actually quite humble. I freely admit sometimes I get things wrong. Had you read my posts in full you'd know this.
I was in a hurry when I posted earlier. I shall attempt to clarify. The US MIGHT be the most powerful nation on earth but this is by no means certain. In fact, I think there is considerable evidence to support the notion it is NOT the most powerful nation on earth. Fracking in combination with a few other things has the potential to make America the undisputed dominant world power.
As for the, last paragraph, I stand by this. If the, government and the environmentalists could have crushed fracking in the cradle they would have. I have considerable experience dealing with these types.
As far as moving to TX, I'd suggest the Houston area where I live. If you are an entrepuner, small business executive , or have a marketable skill, jobs and opportunities for advancement are plentiful. People of this type are in a position to prosper in the regulatory and tax environment this area has to offer. This is further enhanced by the Trump regulatory reforms and tax cuts.
Now to reiterate, I have never and never will refer to myself as any kind of "light bringer" nor would I ever do so. Very respectfully had you read my posts here in their entirety you'd already know this. Now, if you have something constructive to add here, please do so. I'm all eyes to read such things. Learning is good!!
LOL!!!!!
"Glorious Light Bringer." is the phrase actual Americans use for Obama in private!
