Business Insider: Google CEO Sundar Pichai went hat in hand to the Pentagon to patch up its relationship with the military after an employee backlash

* Google CEO Sundar Pichai met with Pentagon officials during a recent trip to Washington DC, according to The Washington Post.
* Pichai sought to "smooth over tensions" after Google decided to sever an agreement to help the military analyze drone video footage.
* Google's decision to sever the contract followed a protest by thousands of Google employees who objected to the company's relationship with the military.
* But Google has never said it would stop working with the military on projects that didn't violate the company's values.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai paid a visit last week to the Pentagon and met with officials with the US Department of Defense in an attempt to "smooth over tensions," according to a report Friday in The Washington Post.

Previously, Google had said that Pichai traveled to Washington DC to meet with GOP lawmakers about such issues, as the company's possible re-entry into China as well as recent accusations made by President Donald Trump that the company biases its search engine against him and political conservatives.

Apparently, the 46-year-old Pichai took the opportunity to cross the Potomac, and do a little bridge building with the military.

WNU Editor: It is always hard (if not impossible) to build bridges that you have burned down. Will Google win contracts from the Pentagon .... probably. But on the big and important ones .... Google will have a problem.

If you dislike Google's objective liberal bias and their chicanery, then you make the contracts difficult for them by following the letter of the contract.

There is no reason to use or depend on Google if you dislike them or do not trust them. None.
