A fascinating FT article suggests Western intelligence agencies have now dumped Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman after he's been personally accused by world leaders — foremost among them Turkey's President Erdogan and US President Trump — for ordering the brutal murder and dismemberment of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Implicit in the article, rich with quotes from current and former US and Western intelligence officials, is the further suggestion that these very intel operatives appear to now be actively seeking MbS' ouster.

WNU Editor: Mohammed bin Salman is still the Crown Prince, and Saudi Arabia is a critical country for the West. Western intelligence agencies may wish they were dealing with someone else, but they are not going to dump him unless the Saudi King does.

I don't understand why there is that's much problem with "one assassination", which is obviously bad, and no problem with 450,000 people dead in Syria.

Jac, because he was a liberal leaning journalist, and the WAPO,NYT,CNN/MSNBC use this opportunity to somehow - by any way possible - smear Trump (because assassinations happen because Trump made a bodyslam joke and called out the FAKE news for what they are)
But yeah, it was also quite gruesome. No one should die like this, especially not a journalist who calls out a tyrant (and no, DJT ain't a tyrant, but that's the narrative the left runs with.. they don't recognize a tyrant if he stands in front of them)
