TASS: Russia, US might reaffirm impossibility of winning nuclear war

Russia's top diplomat recalled that the United States’ newly-adopted nuclear doctrine considerably lowers the threshold of using nuclear weapons

MOSCOW, October 18. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov believes that Moscow and Washington should reaffirm the idea it will be impossible to win a nuclear war.

"The Americans and we have made two fundamental statements since the Soviet era to the effect nobody can win a nuclear war and for that reason it cannot happen. It might be a good idea to reaffirm this postulate in the current context," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview to RT France, Paris Match and Le Figaro.

WNU Editor: It is not going to happen. Russia is persona non-Grata in Washington, and any announcement .... even on a issue like preventing nuclear war .... would be used by the media and Democrats as another example of Moscow manipulating the White House.

Don't bet against Trump.

Also. Keep in mind that it's mostly the irrationale left that somehow has forgotten anything from the importance of due process, presumption of innocence, and the learnings of the McCarthyism era.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but thank God for Republicans. (I've voted Democrats my entire life. I just don't recognise what happened to that party, and am no longer ashamed to say so. .it used to be that I'd shame people for wathing Fox, I was so deep in the left..now when I watch CNN or MSNBC I cannot believe what gets away with journalism over there. As if they've collectively decided to no longer think)

One does not need either CNN or Fox to get the news and by news I mean from a variety of established reputable sources...after all, if you scan the sources used on this site you are now reading, you will see how many references go NOT to tv but to real journalistic places.

That said, The GOP at this point is friendly with Russia, no matter the Dems., and the GOP does at this point control the White House, the Senate, and Congress.

Again, in a short matter of time Mueller will issue his report and then one way or another Russia will be dismissed or involved in what is said and that will change things referenced here.

Meanwhile, when our every intel agency warns us of Russian interference in our elections, yes, then be wary of Russia.
Lastly, do we really need a reminder that atom bombs are not nice and can bring about major destruction? We do focus on this subject when we discuss Iran and North Korea
