Gaza Militants Announce A Ceasefire With Israel

NBC: Gaza militants announce ceasefire with Israel in bid to avert war

An earlier dramatic escalation in violence appeared to have been triggered by a botched Israeli commando raid into Gaza.

TEL AVIV, Israel — Gaza Strip militant groups announced a ceasefire Tuesday after a deadly flare-up in violence with Israel raised fears of an all-out war.

"Egyptian efforts have been able to stabilize the ceasefire," Gaza's militant groups said in a statement, referring to ongoing efforts by Egypt to broker a truce.

Israeli officials did not confirm the announcement.

"colonial settler Apartheid state..." I'm assuming you mean the Jew hating "Palestinians." Of course Israel should "beat the hell" out of them as you put you.

The key to solving this problem is to cut off all aid to the "Palestinians" or at the very least to make it highly conditional much like the aid Israel receives. This will place the parties on a more equal footing. Once the parties are on a more equal footing, the "Palestinians" will then have incentive to negotiate in good faith.

o During the 400 years leading to World War I, Palestine was part of the Ottoman Empire -- was owned by the Turks, not by the Arabs living in Palestine.
o There was never a country called Palestine.
o Palestine was never ruled by its own Arab inhabitants.
o Therefore, it is not accurate to say that Palestine was a country, or that it was Arab land.
o And neither the Jews nor the British stole it from the Arabs.
o The original Zionists who came to live in then-Palestine did not come as colonists, nor with the backing of an imperialist or colonialist power. Jews bought the land on which they settled.

I am with you on everything except for the part about negotiating in good faith. This just simply won't happen. When offered 98% of everything, including Temple Mount by Olmert in 2008 and they rejected it. How much more good faith do you need? See it was never about peace, it was always about destroying Israel a piece at a time. Arafat is on record admitting that. This is why land for peace will no longer work with them.
